"I have been in the Air Training Corps for a few years now, I have done so many things I would never have been able to do otherwise. I have several flying hours worth of experience and am now applying for my flying scholarship. I have also completed my Gliding Induction Course which I thoroughly enjoyed as it gave me an insight into non-powered flying." "I have learnt lots about the Royal Air Force and the Air Training Corps by being a Cadet at 304 (Hastings) Squadron, as well as all the other subjects I am currently studying." "Sports night at the Squadron is great because we have a laugh and it also helps me to keep fit. I went to the Sussex football trials with Cadets and I was selected to play for Sussex Wing. We then competed against Surrey, Middlesex and all the other 'Wings' in the London and South East Region." "I am now a fully qualified radio operator and this will help me in the future as I hope to be an Air Traffic Controller in the Royal Air Force." "I have been shooting many times on an indoor range but I have recently shot on an outdoor range. My accuracy has increased and I can now get more shots in one small area of the target. This means I am very close for qualifying as a Squadron Marksmanship."
