Frequently Asked Questions |
|
How much does it cost to become an Air Cadet at 304 (Hastings) Squadron? There is an initial cost of £10.00 which will get you your uniform (excluding parade shoes and "DPMs" which have to be independently purchased). A further £4.00 every month pays for the training you receive and all activities that take part on the Squadron premises. |

I am currently doing my Duke of Edinbugh's Award with school, can I continue it as a Cadet or do I have to start again? What you can do is get your Duke of Edinburgh's Award "Group" changed to "Air Training Corps" instead of the name of your school. Once this has been done, you can continue your Award, all the way to Gold. |

What do you have to wear? There are three different uniforms within the Air Cadet Organisation: 1 - "Number One's" - a Wedgwood shirt, tie, brassard, trousers (or skirt), black socks (or tights) and a pair of parade shoes. 2 - "Working Dress" - a dark blue shirt, brassard, trousers (or skirt), black socks (or tights) and a pair of parade shoes. 3 - "DPMs" - a combat jacket, green t-shirt, combat trousers and a pair of assault boots. With all three uniforms, a beret is worn to indicate that you are an Air Cadet. |
