Welcome to the 304 (Hastings) Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC) website.

304 (Hastings) Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC) Air Cadets

Training

There are opportunities to progress within the Air Cadet Organisation.
When you join our Squadron as a Probationer, you are taught subjects such as: Basic Drill, Radio, the structure of the Air Training Corps and Royal Air Force. Once you are enrolled, normally within 6 weeks, more subjects are introduced. Passing exams in new subjects enables you to
progress and qualify for a rank.

The subjects available to study vary as you progress through the classifications.

  • History of the Royal Air Force
  • The Air Training Corps
  • Basic Navigation
  • Radio Communications

    ... to name a few.

The badges on the right indicate the different levels of achievement.
The higher the classification, the more activities you are able to take part in.

Example: A Cadet who has passed their First Class exam is eligible to go flying.
